Wheelchair Tennis

The Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program, in collaboration with The First Coast Tennis Foundation, is bringing tennis to individuals with physical disabilities in Northeast Florida.

Through sponsorship of the Brooks Wheelchair Tennis League, the Brooks Adaptive Sports Program has improved access to equipment, opportunities for play and special coaching specific to the game of wheelchair tennis. Although the only rule change in the wheelchair game is the allowance of two bounces, skilled handling of the wheelchair is critical to success in the game.

In addition to weekly practices, participants have played in many local tennis events, including the Malivi Washington Tennis Tournament.
