Brooks Adaptive Sports Program

Adaptive Sports and Recreation

Whether it's wheelchair basketball, tennis, handcycling or adaptive rowing, those living with disabilities rebuild their strength and sense of independence while they increase body awareness, build self-confidence, learn new life skills and even make new friends. Children and adults participate at both recreational and competitive levels. Our teams compete with teams from around Florida and across the country. Plus, we sponsor adaptive sporting events and competitions, as well as instructional clinics led by athletes holding national and world champion titles and Paralympic status, giving our athletes a chance to learn from the experts.

Brooks hopes to improve the physical and social-emotional well-being of individuals with disabilities in the Jacksonville community. We recognize that providing these opportunities is a key element of improving the quality of life for the disabled members of our community. Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome.
