Patricia deBear joined Brooks Rehabilitation as its Senior Vice President of Clinical Services and Hospital Administrator in August 2006. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and a Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University.

Prior to joining Brooks, DeBear was the Administrative Director of Rehabilitative Services at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), which included responsibility for administration of inpatient services at the 94-bed Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM), in Detroit.  She also oversaw rehabilitation services at Harper University Hospital, Hutzel Women's Hospital and Karmanos Cancer Hospital. 

DeBear was with RIM for 28 years, where she began as an Occupational Therapist. She spent 8 years as a clinician before moving into management roles. RIM is a designated model system for brain injury treatment, one of only 16 in the country, and their spinal cord injury program is internationally recognized for its Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery.

A published author, DeBear's articles have appeared in the Journal of Associations of Children's Orthotic and Prosthetic Clinics and the Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development. In addition, she holds two U.S. Patents for Exercise Systems and Methods.
