At Brooks, we are dedicated to offering the most advanced therapies and techniques to patients in our hospital as well as those at our many outpatient facilities. We offer more types and more hours of therapy than any area rehabilitation system. With the region’s only rehabilitation hospital, a full range of outpatient therapies, a home health agency, skilled nursing, physicians who specialize in rehabilitation medicine, our approach to rehabilitation is unmatched.
Brooks’ integrated treatment teams include certified therapists from many disciplines who receive ongoing training in the latest approaches. Our therapists are specially trained through our residency, fellowship and ongoing clinical education courses offered by the Brooks Institute of Higher Learning.
Providing a Continuum of Care
At Brooks Rehabilitation we provide a full system of care, which means that our patients benefit from our support and expertise at every step of their recovery. Such seamless, cutting-edge care allows patients to achieve the highest possible level of independence, health and quality of life. Recovery following stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and orthopedic injuries are just a few of the specialty conditions we treat at Brooks Rehabilitation. We also offer specialty programs for pediatrics, worker's compensation, sports therapy, women's health, urinary incontinence, vestibular and balance issues, neuro recovery, and pain just to name a few.
Offering highly personalized, evidence-based care
Our physical therapists’ highly-personalized, hands-on approach encourages patients to step up to the challenges of therapy. We support our patients while providing the most intensive, cutting edge therapies available, giving them a greater chance of achieving the best outcome possible.
Our commitment to evidence-based therapies has also led us to develop the Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center. We are advancing the field of rehabilitation therapy with numerous ongoing studies in partnership with local universities. By focusing on research, we not only give our patients access to the best new treatments before they are available elsewhere, but we also enhance our therapists’ knowledge.
Commitment to Senior Care
Whether it is gaining physical strength and coordination, increasing mental stimulation or receiving emotional and social support, Brooks is committed to furthering our services to transform the lives of seniors in our community. With the development of the Bartram Park campus, we are creating a place where seniors can receive the customized care they need while living life to its fullest.
Supporting patients on all levels
We aim to put all of our patients at ease by explaining every aspect of the therapy process. As a Brooks patient, we will educate and support you, your family and your caregivers in order to make your rehabilitation experience as pleasant and productive as possible.
Doing it for all the right reasons
As a non-profit organization, we have one true motivation for what we do day in and day out. It’s the reason our employees come to work everyday. They genuinely want to be a part of your success. In fact, our caring culture and long-time contribution to the community sets us apart from the rest. From the way we’re advancing rehabilitation research, to the treatment and education we provide, Brooks is always working to improve the quality of healthcare in the communities where our patients live and work. Our concern for the community's need to access rehabilitative therapy led us to double our commitment to charity care and care for the uninsured and underinsured. Even many of our employees donate a portion of their income to help patients needing therapies and equipment they might not be able to afford otherwise.
