Ceil Brooks is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She certified in Vital-Stim, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, and is a Brain Injury Specialist. Ceil received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida in 1977. She has been a practicing Speech Pathologist for 32 years with the last 17 years spent at Brooks Health. Ceil also owned a Private Practice Clinic for 12 years. Currently, part of Ceil’s time is spent evaluating and treating adults at the Brooks Center for Neurological Rehabilitation at the Healthcare Plaza and the other part of her time is spent as a team member of the Neuro Rehab Day Treatment Program. Additionally, Ceil was involved in a research study at the Brooks Center for Rehabilitation Studies that investigated brain mechanisms involved in the recovery of naming skills in stroke patients diagnosed with aphasia. In her spare time Ceil enjoys reading, going to the beach, hiking and traveling.
