Aquatic (Pool) Therapy

 

Aquatic therapy is ideal for patients who cannot yet tolerate land-based exercise. The warmth of the water helps relax your muscles and improve circulation, and the buoyancy eliminates stress on you body, letting you work on increasing muscle strength, flexibility and range of motion. You'll work one-on-one with your therapist to get the individual attention you need.

Brooks patients can benefit from either our warm water therapy pools or AquaCisers™, underwater treadmill systems that allow patients to begin walking again in a low impact environment. Treadmill speed, jets for resistive movements, water level and temperature are all customizable for individual therapy regimes.

Our therapeutic pools and AquaCisers are designed to allow patients of all ages to begin their rehabilitation program sooner and progress more quickly.

Both hospitalized and ambulatory patients can benefit from aquatic therapy, provided by licensed physical therapy professionals. All therapy is initiated by physician order and determined by patient need.
