Program Director for the Brain Injury Day Treatment Program, and Psychological Services

Russ joined Brooks in 1993 and conducted his doctoral research at Brooks, which completed the requirement for the doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, an accomplishment that few neuropsychologists achieve and one of which is shared by several colleagues at Brooks. He conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and treatment for chilren, adults and the elderly.  He is active in clinical activities, management duties, and clinical research. He is engaged in ongoing studies evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitation, the psychometric properties of scales developed at Brooks (The Brooks Functional Assessment Scale), and the Cognitive consequences of stroke. He also actively collaborates with researchers at the Brooks Center for Rehabilitative Studies in collaboration with the University of Florida. He has co-authored a chapter entitled "Traumatic brain injury and post-concussive syndrome" in the textbook Clinical Neuropsychology: A Pocket Handbook for Assessment. Dr. Addeo works closely with the medical director of the program, Dr. Spierre and the inpatient brain injury program director, Dr. Cynthia Beaulieu, to provide a continuum of care for those with brain injury.
