Mobile Therapy

Last Updated: April 9, 2024

What is mobile therapy?

Mobile therapy is outpatient therapy that is performed in the patient’s home rather than at an outpatient therapy clinic. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Mobile therapy is for anyone that may have a limitation on ability to attend in clinic treatment sessions, such as transportation issues or a preference for in home care or per physician recommendation.

What to expect from mobile therapy

If you are referred for mobile therapy, our scheduling coordinator will contact you to discuss available dates and times for therapy. Your therapist will arrive at your home at your scheduled time, and all evaluations and treatments will be performed in the privacy and comfort of your home. Treatments may also include education and training for loved ones/caregivers if needed.

What are the benefits of mobile therapy?

  • Personalized one-on-one care
  • More privacy
  • Care is specifically catered to your home environment
  • Convenience of not having to travel to an outpatient clinic

How to pay for mobile therapy

Available for Medicare Part B beneficiaries only. Medicare covers 80% of charges and if you have a secondary insurance it is covered at 100%.

Does a doctor oversee my home mobile therapy services?

Yes. A referral from your doctor for outpatient therapy is all that is needed for mobile therapy. Information about your plan of care and treatments will be communicated with your referring provider.
