This year's 2009 Celebrate Independence was Saturday November 21, 2009 at the Brooks Administration Building. The Keynote Speaker Ben Vereen shared his story of recovery from multiple injuries and his triumphant return to stardom.  The event was FREE to the public. 



What is Celebrate Independence? For 18 years, Brooks has been Celebrating Independence by honoring those who have been instrumental in improving the lives of persons with disabilities.

The Relationship of Spirituality and Ethics: Practical Guidelines for Providing Enhanced Spiritual Care

This lecture addressed the spiritual needs of patients when illness or injury occur and correlate these with strategies of ethical care giving and deliver specific skills for providing spiritual care to patients.
