This course is designed to give the participant education required to identify and treat specific vestibular dysfunctions. The participant will gain knowledge in the basic anatomy/physiology of the vestibular system, common diagnoses/causes of vestibular dysfunction and the clinical presentation for the different diagnoses. Treatment strategies will also be provided for each diagnosis. The patient will be presented with didactic information as well as hands on lab time to practice the required skills necessary for evaluating and treating basic vestibular pathologies.
Objectives
Following attending Introduction to Vestibular Rehabilitation: Part One, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the basic anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system
- Describe the pathophysiology of common vestibular disorders
- List the most common diagnoses/causes of vestibular dysfunction
- Recognize the clinical presentation of the common causes of vestibular dysfunction including
