 Associate Professor

Location:

University of Florida

Education:

Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY Ph.D. in Psychology, 1992
Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY M.S. in Psychology, 1989
Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA B.S. in Occupational Therapy, 1983

Awards and Recognition:

1991 APA Dissertation Award

Research Interests:

Current rehabilitation practices to determine which combination of interventions are the most effective post-stroke. She is also interested in performing clinical trials of constraint induced therapy to improve arm and hand function post-stroke. Specifically Dr. Richards is investigating the potential of auditory rhythm training to enhance the efficacy of constraint induced therapy in persons with hemiparesis post-stroke.
